Making Returns Easy

We want you to love what you buy, but we know sometimes things don't work out. Here's how returns and refunds work at Easy Home Order.

Our Return Window

You have 30 days from the date your order is delivered to return items. Not 30 days from when you ordered, but from when it actually arrives at your door. We think that's fair time to try out your organization products and make sure they work for your space.

What Can Be Returned

Items We Accept for Return

Products must be unused, in their original condition, and in the original packaging. We get that you might need to open the box to look at something, but the item itself should be in resellable condition.

All original tags, labels, and accessories need to be included. If it came with mounting hardware or an instruction sheet, those need to be in there too.

Basically, if we can't put it back on our shelf and sell it to someone else, we probably can't accept the return.

Items We Can't Accept

For health and safety reasons, we can't accept returns on certain items once they've been opened or used. This would apply to things like adhesive products that have been partially used, or items that were clearly assembled and used.

If an item is damaged due to misuse or normal wear and tear after you received it, we can't take it back. We're talking about returns here, not warranty claims.

How to Start a Return

Contact Us First

Don't just ship something back to us without letting us know. Seriously, it makes things really complicated.

Instead, contact us via email or phone and let us know what you want to return and why. We'll provide you with return instructions and a return authorization if needed.

Return Shipping

For standard returns where you've just changed your mind or ordered the wrong size, you're responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping method and keeping your receipt, because we can't be responsible for items that get lost on the way back to us.

If we made a mistake, like sending you the wrong item or a defective product, we'll provide a prepaid return label. In those cases, you won't pay anything for return shipping.

Pack It Carefully

Please pack return items securely. Use appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during shipping. If an item is damaged in return transit due to poor packaging, it might affect your refund.

Refund Process

Inspection

Once we receive your return, we'll inspect it to make sure it meets our return criteria. This usually takes 1-3 business days.

If everything checks out, we'll process your refund. If there's a problem, like the item has been used or is missing parts, we'll contact you to discuss options.

Refund Amount

We'll refund the purchase price of the returned items. This includes any applicable taxes you paid.

Shipping costs are generally not refunded unless we made an error. If your original order qualified for free shipping and you're returning part of it, we might deduct the shipping cost that would have applied to the items you're keeping.

Refund Method

Refunds are issued to your original payment method. So if you paid with a credit card, it goes back to that card. If you used PayPal, it goes back to PayPal.

Refund Timing

We process approved refunds within 3-5 business days of receiving and inspecting your return.

After we process it, your bank or credit card company needs time to post it to your account. This usually takes another 5-10 business days, sometimes longer depending on your financial institution. We know waiting isn't fun, but we process our part quickly.

You'll receive an email confirmation once we've issued the refund.

Exchanges

How Exchanges Work

Want to exchange something for a different size or color? We can do that.

Contact us and let us know what you want to exchange. Generally, you'll return the original item and we'll send out the replacement once we've confirmed your return is on its way back to us.

If there's a price difference between the items, we'll either charge you the difference or refund it, depending on which way it goes.

Exchange Shipping

For standard exchanges where you just want a different version of what you ordered, you'll pay return shipping for the original item. We'll ship the replacement using the same method as your original order, so if your first order qualified for free shipping, the replacement will too.

If we sent you the wrong item and you're exchanging it for the correct one, we'll cover all shipping costs.

Damaged or Defective Items

Report Issues Quickly

If your item arrives damaged or is defective, contact us as soon as possible. Take photos of the damage or defect and the packaging if it's relevant.

We'll make it right with a replacement or refund, whichever you prefer. You won't pay return shipping for damaged or defective items.

Manufacturing Defects

If something breaks or fails due to a manufacturing defect within a reasonable time after purchase, contact us. We'll work with you to resolve it, which might mean a replacement, repair, or refund depending on the situation.

This doesn't cover damage from misuse, normal wear and tear, or accidents. We're talking about products that fail because they weren't made properly.

Wrong Items Received

If we sent you the wrong item, we're really sorry. That's on us.

Contact us and we'll send you the correct item right away and provide a return label for the wrong one. You won't be out any money for our mistake.

Cancelled Orders

Before Shipping

If you need to cancel an order that hasn't shipped yet, contact us immediately. If we can stop it in time, we'll cancel it and issue a full refund.

Once an order has shipped, we can't cancel it, but you can refuse delivery or return it once it arrives following our normal return process.

Refunds for Cancellations

Cancelled orders are refunded in full to your original payment method within 3-5 business days.

Partial Returns

You can return part of an order and keep the rest. Just let us know which items you're returning.

If your order qualified for free shipping because it was over $100, and returning items brings it below that threshold, we may deduct the original shipping cost from your refund.

Lost Packages

Packages Marked as Delivered

If tracking shows your package was delivered but you don't have it, first check around your property and with neighbors. Sometimes carriers leave packages in unexpected places.

If you still can't locate it after 48 hours, contact us. We'll file a claim with the carrier and work to resolve the issue, either by sending a replacement or issuing a refund.

Packages Lost in Transit

If your package hasn't arrived and tracking hasn't updated in a while, contact us. We'll investigate with the shipping carrier and make sure you get your items or your money back.

Restocking Fees

We don't charge restocking fees for standard returns. If you follow the return process and the items meet our return criteria, you'll get a full refund of the purchase price.

Final Sale Items

Occasionally we might mark certain items as final sale, meaning they can't be returned. These will be clearly marked as such on the product page before you buy. Final sale items are still covered if they arrive damaged or defective.
